Language barrier!! In Finnish we know him as IKJ whereas in English he’s BFG. Well, it happens 🙂
I became a huge Roald Dahl fan in the age of 8 thanks to our teacher who read us Dahl at school. Thank you! For this listing I considered also Dad / Iskä from Dahl’s Danny the Champion of the World, but since I knew I could never compete with Quentin Blake’s illustration of Dad, I finally chose IKJ and made my own interpretation of ”something terribly black and terribly thin”. Sweet dreams!

ps. If you aren’t familiar with the story, please don’t watch Spielberg’s movie but read the book! There’s so much more magic in there! And read Danny the Champion of the World!!!
Mä en muista Iskä ja Dannysta melkein mitään mut se on silti ihan paras Roald Dahlin kirjoista <3 IKJ:n oon sen sijaan missannu kokonaa (tiiän toki et se on olemassa), ei muistikuvia oonko lukenu ollenkaan, en kyl tiiä miks en ois ku tykkäsin Dahlista tosi paljon. Tai siis osa kirjoista on ihan tosi rasittavia, mut ei kaikki!
Mulle puolestaan IKJ, Jali ja suklaatehdas (tai meillä oli se Sulo ja suklaatehdas -painos) ja Kuka pelkää noitia? on olleet aika ne THE Roald Dahlit. Iskästä ja Dannystä ei niin mitään muistikuvaa, vaik oon varma, et oon lukenu sen joskus/että se on mulle luettu.
